Our annual fundraising efforts for 2009 are still in full gear as summer months are much better for most fundraising efforts as we continue on with another year of bird rescuing and sheltering. This marks our third fiscal year as an offical 501c3 certified and approved bird rescue and we hope to make it one of our best years yet. We have so much talent and knowledge within our organization now that we can offer even more than ever before. But as you all know, it takes funding to make these things work so please help us out whenever and whereever you can with our fundraising efforts.
On Saturday June 27th we had our annual rummage sale on the corner of 8th and Cottage Avenue just catty cornered from the rescue. We took donations of items to sell up until June 15th and ended up with a decent sized rummage sale. Our profits for the day were just over $175.00. All help and support was appreciated.
We are always looking for ways to raise money for Healthipet Network. Please get your minds to working and send us any ideas or thoughts you may have. We are always looking for fresh ideas and assistance in generating funding for our Network. Any help we can get is always greatly appreciated.

We are working feverishly on getting our site updated and current now. We have begun adding our available birds to the site, along with applications for home checkers and rescues. We've added more pictures and information. We still have a long way to go, but please know that we are working on this constantly to get everything as current as possible. Please bear with us as we work through this. We have begun putting bios and pictures of our approved Homecheckers on the site also. Be sure to check them out periodically as we continue to grow.

February 23rd and 24th we sat up a booth at the Auburn, IN Home Show. Our purpose was to get our name out there and educate people on the proper care of birds and the why's and why nots of getting a bird for a pet. We also solicited for donations and raised $40. Dedicated members Paul and Candy sponsored this event by paying for our booth rental as well as putting us all up for two nights at their home. Many warm thanks to them for their hospitality and generosity. Below are a few pics from the event.
March 9, 2008 Tim will be speaking at the Kentuckiana Feathered Friends meeting in Louisville, KY. April 26, 2008 we once again attended and set up at the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo, MI. This is an annual event that just started last year and has enjoyed overwhelming response and praise. We took several birds and volunteers to assist with this. Please let us know if you are interested in being a part of this event in the future.

Our Calendar fundraising started the first of August. Be sure to help us out by selling as many as you can and encouraging others to do so as well. For every calendar we sell we earn $10 for the Network. This could add up quickly and is one of our easiest and quickest ways to raise money for the birds. We hope everybody plans on being an active part of the team and helps us help them. You can download an order form right here. images\Documents\Parrotsatplayorderform.doc
